River Cafe Table 4: Austin Butler

In January 2021, Austin Butler arrived in London after starring as Elvis Presley in Baz Luhrmann’s film ‘Elvis'.

The city was just out of a COVID lockdown and we decided to have dinner every Sunday night with the same small group of friends. It soon became a tradition.

For the following 39 weeks, Austin would arrive early to prepare dinner with me. He is a brilliant actor, a singer, a poet, a cook, a friend - and really good at cards.
