Ruthie's Table 4: Mayor Daniel Lurie

Mayor Daniel Lurie of San Francisco understands deeply what makes a city succeed. 

 

For as long as I have known him - over 20 years, he has had vision and a lifelong commitment to social justice. 

 

Daniel becoming the Mayor of San Francisco is deeply moving to me and I am proud to be his friend. 

 

Visiting the City Hall, I was struck by the sense of civic pride there - what it means to be a citizen - people getting married, paying taxes, learning about their city's unique history. 

 

I also saw the team in his office working with focus and commitment, serving the people of San Francisco.
