Ruthie's Table 4: Paul Price

Trying to think of how to talk about my newest friend, Paul Price, I sought some help from his friend, and the person who brought us together - the film director Andrew Jarecki.

 

"Dear Ruthie,

 

I first met Paul during fresman year at Princeton. He was handsome, poised and about 1000 times more stylish than the other students we were with.

 

Paul is a tastemaker and a creator. As he has reshaped my perception of what life can be, he has reimagined legendary brands in the world of fashion - now Burberry - and made them newly relevant. 

 

An obvious adjective to describe Paul is elegant, but it is not nearly enough of a word. It is his mischievously funny wit, his creative mind, and deep compassion for, and curiosity about people that sets him apart. I know you're going to love him."

 

What Andrew didn't mention, but I know really well, is that Paul loves food, and loves to cook. That was our first connection, some months ago over dinner at The River Cafe. The beginning of a conversation, the beginning of a friendship.
