At the table - 10th May 2021

This beautiful drawing shows setting a table well gives form to the happiness we have there, telling everyone lunch or dinner is ready.
Setting styles may vary—bright colours or white, napkins on the plate or to the side, place mats or tablecloth.
Whatever the vision, settings give a meal a sense of place and express the effort made for comfort and conversation.

Shop The River Cafe ‘Homewares’ has the Venetian glasses and spoons we love, fine white plates, Reidel wine glasses and decanters, the David Mellor cutlery, the water glasses—all used in our restaurant, and in our home.
There are two designs by architects—an elegant tea set by Norman Foster and stunning candlesticks by John Pawson.
