Cate Blanchett is an actor, director and vocal activist for values and ideas especially important in today's world.

She lives with her family in the countryside in East Sussex, keeping bees, growing vegetables in her garden, cooking and eating seasonally.

When we met, the sun was shining and the garden was flowering. We spoke about our shared love of food, family and culture. As a special treat, I asked her to bring a bottle of Toku, the saké brand for whom she is creative director, and I learned what made it so special.
