Ruthie's Table 4: Francis Ford Coppola Part 2

Francis Ford Coppola and Ruth Rogers
It’s a rare occasion when we split an interview into two parts. But after three hours of conversation with Francis Ford Coppola, we decided it was too good not to share more.
In part two Francis talks about his childhood, and described eating capuzzelle - lamb’s head – and describes how he was especially keen on the brain because he thought it would make him smarter.
He educated me on the origins of pizza, and how a loophole devised during America’s prohibition, led to Francis buying the Inglenook winery after making The Godfather.
We both brought in bottles of Francis’ wine to taste—the perfect accompaniment to our conversation.
A remarkable afternoon I shall always remember.
